About me

Hello! Welcome to my blog. My name is Hydie. I am a hand craft maniac, always keeping my hands busy on making something.

I used to hand make things and drew pictures alot during my school days but stopped all artistic activities after graduated from university and start working. I got married in 2006, my passion for arts and crafts was ignited again during the wedding preparation. I made things for my wedding day. Since then I cannot stop myself from designing and creating accessories and home decor items. I enjoyed the process of creating things so much, it helps me to forget the stress of my daytime job.The joy and satisfaction gained when a piece of work is completed can never be experienced in the Japanese trading company which I have been working for 10 years.

I am deeply influenced by the Japanese culture since childhood, I love Japan so much that I went to Tokyo for studying it's language. The word “Nozomi” in my etsy shop name means HOPE in Japanese. HOPE is the middle word of my Chinese name. I hope my shop can flourish, giving me drives and incentives to push me to improve and diversify my creations.
