Fairy garden / miniature garden for Totoro

 

This is the first fairy garden (miniature garden) I've made. I longed to have a garden, having an English cottage garden is my dream. However, being a resident in Hong Kong it is impossible to possess a dream garden. The only way to fulfill my dream is to build a mini one inside my small apartment.

 

I love the layers and layers of colorful flowers in a cottage garden. 

 

The process of selecting artificial plants for the garden is enjoyable.

I even cannot remember how many types of artificial flowers and plants I have used for this fairy garden. I'm crazy about flowers!

 

Each piece of flower and each bunch of glass was carefully glued to the wood, it is like planting real flowers to garden. This is the closest thing I can do to enjoy gardening.

My Totoro and his friends already feel at home in this new garden, they love it and want to live there forever.

Cat pattern yukata (Japanese kimono) - Arima Onsen trip 有馬温泉

I fell in love with Japanese kimono since last year. Kimono can be very expensive so I bought the cheaper version - yukata 浴衣。I  tried very hard to learn how to wear a yukata myself and tie the obi 帯. 

 

I am a 100% cat lady, so the first piece of yukata I bought is full of cats. There are numerous ways to tie an obi, in order to show the cat pattern on my obi I pick this obi pattern and learned very hard to tie it.

I even bought a cat pattern bag to match with my cat yukata !

Walking around in the traditional streets of Arima Onsen with this outfit was so enjoyable.

Christmas tree cupcake

 

Making desserts for Christmas is something I must do every year.

This year's dessert is Christmas tree cupcake. 

I've only learnt rolled fondant cupcake decoration for a few hours, this is the best I can do, and I am pleased with it.

Miniature garden house building

I started a new hobby recently - miniature houses building.

I started by something simple, a garden house

 

It was quite terrifying when I first saw those blocks of wood coming out from the packet. I had no idea where to start from!

Luckily the instruction sheet is very well written. Gave some patience, reading it slowly, following it step by step, bits and pieces started to become house structures.

 

 

The part I love the most is making plants from synthetic moss.

Decorating Christmas cupcakes with rolled fondant

 

This is my first time decorating cupcakes with rolled fondant.

It's fun! 

I'm going to make more for Christmas holidays.

Marshmallow cat hot chocolate / latte

Bought these super cute cat shape marshmallows from Japan last month.

These cats floats on my hot chocolate and then melt into it.

The marshmallows are also available in cat paw shape. They are also very lovely!

They add so much fun to my drinks. This winter I am going to consume a lot of hot chocolate.
