Wreaths from Blissful Meandering

I'm so happy to have 2 new wreaths from etsy shop BlissfulMeandering for this year's Christmas. There are Christmas wreaths in Hong Kong but nothing like these, they make my home special. I found that my plushies match very well with the wreaths, so the grey one became the home of my happy cat and the red one became the home of my grey bear. Had a very happy tea buffet at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel today. I love Christmas decorations alot, especially in Disneyland.

Cat portraits

I digged out some of my old drawings today, these are cat portraits that were drawn in 1998. The 2 brown cats are cats I copied from a pet magazine. The silver cat is my friend's cat.

Another Front Page!!!

This morning 9am, arrived office, switched on PC, went to pantry, then back to my seat, opened email, then went to etsy....saw something very familiar shown on etsy front page. It's my treasury!! My treasury!! Could not believe my eyes!! A front page to start my day!! WOW!! My last front page was on 6 Oct 2011, then 1 month later it came again! I am sooooooo happy today, so happy that I cannot concentrate on working, luckily boss not in town.

Glowing bowl

Winter is coming, my craft room is preparing for its arrival. I bought new home decor items from etsy including felt bowls from Moonflower Creations. Salina's felt bowls are wonderful home decoration, this time I asked Salina to make a blue one for me (I already have oatmeal and green). Usually Salina's nature bowls are filled with findings from nature like moss, acorns and feathers, but I asked Salina to send me an empty one. I want a winter theme bowl, something that looks like snow that can act as a winter backdrop for my felted little animals. So I put wool inside, and to make it more interesting I hid an electric candle inside the "snow", thus giving it some warmth. The contrast of the warm orange with the icy blue is amazingly beautiful!! It looks like something in fairytale books. I and my felted animals love it very much.

Apart from thank you tag I am putting a business card in every parcel I send out. I have made 4 designs, using my product photo as backgrounds.

Latte the sheep

Winter is coming. The Hong Kong Observatory predicts this winter in Hong Kong will be a long and cold one. It's bad news. We don't have heater at homes, in offices nor in public transportation. We wear thick layers of clothes even indoors. The scarf is an indispensable thing for me in winter, keeping my neck warm makes me feel so much better. This "warming the neck" thing inspired me to creat Latte the sheep. Latte is like a projection of me in winter - thick layers of fibers covering my body especially around the neck. Creating Latte or simply watching it makes me feel warm already.

Vintage wood blocks

These small wooden blocks are my recent purchase from beautifulliving of etsy, they have an alphabet printed on 1 face of each block, leaving 5 faces blank so I can do whatever I want on them. By using Japanese patterned masking tapes and alphabet stickers I created name blocks for my Latte and Mocha (my new creations).

DIY jewelry holder

I made a jewelry holder using an empty picture frame and BBQ net today. Pinterest always give me wonderful crafting ideas.
